Jacqueline "Jackie" Patton

Jacqueline "Jackie" Patton, a beloved resident of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, was born on July 26, 1947, in Clay County, Kentucky. She was the cherished daughter of the late Grant Smith and Juanita Gibson Smith. On October 22, 1966, she was united in marriage to Carl Dean Patton, who preceded her in death.
Jackie is survived by her loving children: Lindsey Patton and wife Angie of Ashland, Kentucky; Marshall Patton and wife Christy of Ozark, Alabama; and Carla Gilbert and husband Glen of East Bernstadt. She was a proud grandmother to Dylan Gilbert, Emily Gilbert, Zachary Patton, Luke Patton, Tristan Butcher, Trent Patton, and Trey Patton. In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Smith.
Jackie was a dedicated nurse, having worked at the hospital in London and later for home health. She took immense pride in her family and adored her grandchildren. A faithful member of Philpot Chapel Baptist Church in East Bernstadt, Jackie was known for her devotion to her faith and community.
Jacqueline "Jackie" Patton departed this life on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 26 days.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with James Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Landrum Cemetery in East Bernstadt.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11 am Monday until the funeral hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
