Kentucky Senate recognizes Nolan Group's 100th Anniversary

It was a big week for Nolan Group Media as Senate President Robert Stivers celebrated the company's 100th anniversary. Present for the reading of Senate Resolution 31 were Glenn Gray, Claudia Nolan, James (Jay) Frank Nolan !!!, James Frank Nolan Jr., and Senate President Robert Stivers.
The resolution reads:  A RESOLUTION honoring Nolan Group Media on the occasion of its 100th year in business. 
WHEREAS, an aspect of the "American Dream" is to have a successful business, as millions of Americans have realized powering the juggernaut that is the American economy, and more specifically, the American business landscape; 
and WHEREAS, while the loam in which businesses are planted in America is rich, not all businesses thrive and produce the fruits of success; 
and WHEREAS, in 1925, a century ago as of this year, James Frank Nolan, a Clay County native, turned adversity into enterprise and embarked on a career that would lead to Nolan Group Media, a constellation of newspapers and related businesses dedicated to serving their communities with accuracy and integrity; 
and WHEREAS, James Frank Nolan passed the thriving business to his son, James Frank Nolan, Jr., who guided Nolan Group Media through 30 successful years until he passed the business on to his son, James F. Nolan III, who presently leads the business with a skillful hand; 
and WHEREAS, it is well-known that Nolan Group Media is dedicated to making a positive impact on Eastern Kentucky through employing the citizens of the area and reporting on issues important to the citizenry; 
and WHEREAS, James F. Nolan III places exceptional value on his papers' subscribers and advertisers, as through their support the newspapers can assist in preserving democracy through printing news stories in the most accurate, accountable, and professional manner possible; 
NOW, THEREFORE, 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 
Section 1.   This august body recognizes and congratulates Nolan Group Media, and its chairman and CEO, James F. Nolan III, on the remarkable occasion of celebrating 100 years of exceptionally successful business and building and maintaining such an honorable business based on integrity and American values that has become an indispensable part of the Eastern Kentucky landscape and beyond. 
Section 2.   The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Senate President Robert Stivers for presentation to Nolan Group Media chairman and CEO James F. Nolan III.
