Woman leaves boyfriend locked in storage unit for four days

MONROE, N.C. – Tired of your boyfriend? Well, you could do what a woman in North Carolina did, but you’d end up in jail.

Robin Deaton allegedly locked her boyfriend in a storage unit following an argument between the couple.

Police helped release the man Monday after being locked in the unit for four days.

WBTV reports the man was able to call for help after he found his phone inside the storage unit.  It wasn’t immediately clear how the man lost his phone, but the storage unit was reportedly dark and crowded.

Monroe police officers said the man was doing fine and could give investigators information.

Police are still searching for Deaton, who is facing an attempted murder charge and a first-degree kidnapping charge.
