Nursie Henson

“Another child of God gone home." Nursie Henson was born November 21, 1962, to Dan and Rosie Henson in Manchester, KY. She departed this world on January 17, 2025 at Baptist Regional Hospital in Corbin, KY.

She is survived by the following brothers and sisters and their families: Ronnie and Lucy Henson and their sons and grandchildren- Daniel and Domonica Henson and their daughters- Skyleigh and Dani; Ronnie Lee Henson and his sons, Myklah and Elijah; and Archie and Brittany Henson and their daughter Emersyn; Stacy Henson all of Manchester, KY; and a very special brother in-law Harold Garrison of Crawfordsville, IN. Charlotte and Owen Marcum of Jackson County and their sons and grandchildren- Andrew and Cierra Stivers and their children- Keira, Dan Jace, and Holden; and Kenton and Patricia Stivers of Fort Riley, KS; and Clarence Henson and his sons and grandchildren- Chandler and Clarence Jr. and his daughters and son- Madeline Jade, Mia Grace, and Kyrie Justice Henson.

She also leaves surviving special nieces, Rosie Henson and Scarlett Henson and special nephews, Chandler Henson and Clarence Jr. Henson (whom she considered her children) all of Manchester, KY and a host of other relatives and friends.

Nursie Henson was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Rosie Henson and her sister, Rosa Garrison and brother Howard Henson.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22nd at Lilly Grove Baptist Church in Manchester, KY, with Beulah Kemp, Barry Hubbard and Donnie McKissic officiating. Burial will follow at the Birch Cemetery in Hima, KY.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22nd at Lilly Grove Baptist Church.
