Eldren Hensley

Eldren Hensley, 84, of Lexington, IN, passed away on January 19, 2025, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, IN. Born on February 3, 1940, in Oneida, KY, Eldren was the son of the late Herbert and Maude (Couch) Hensley.
On March 2, 1962, Eldren married the love of his life, Martha Ann (Hacker) Hensley, in Manchester, KY. She survives him in Lexington, IN.
Eldren retired from Morgan Foods Inc. and enjoyed an active and fulfilling life. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and walking, particularly at the YMCA and Lake Iola. Known for his energy and love of the outdoors, Eldren touched the lives of those around him with his dedication to his hobbies and his warm spirit.
Eldren is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Ann Hensley; his children, Darlene (Randy) Needler of Lexington, IN, and Tony (Rhonda) Hensley of Scottsburg, IN; his grandchildren, Bradley (Brittany) Hensley, Alicia Ann Van Dyke of Marysville, IN, Billy Joe (Sherry) Hensley of Scottsburg, IN, and Karly Ray (Matthew) Hensley; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Delphia (Roberson) Rice of Austin, IN, and his sister-in-law, Mershell Hensley of Perry County, KY.
Eldren was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Maude Hensley; his grandson, Brian Hensley; his sister, Thelma Rice; and his brother, Ernest Hensley.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory. Eldren's family will forever cherish his memory and the legacy of love and devotion he leaves behind.
