Jerry Burns

Jerry Burns, 76, of Ellettsville, passed away January 11, 2025, at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Jerry was born on March 6, 1948, in Manchester, Kentucky into the home of Sydney and Ada (Hoskins) Burns. 

Jerry was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He went on to become a manager of Family Dollar Stores.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Joshua Burns; one brother, Bobby; and one sister, Bertha.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shelly (Griffin) Burns; three daughters, Dawn Burns, Ashley Burns, and Leela Burns; one son, David Burns; and one granddaughter, Angelica Gust.
