Wilma Rowland

Wilma Rowland, age 89 departed this life on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the AdventHealth of Manchester. She was born on Wednesday, April 4, 1934 in Manchester to the union of Lawrence and Nellie Martin Pennington. She worked for the Karen Spinning Thread Company and was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Vanda Beatty, Janice Hardebeck and Dwayne Rowland, her grandchildren: Tommy Beatty, Gilbert Reid, Jason Rowland, Jennifer Miller, Shannon Bay and Catherine Bullock, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Carl Pennington, Gene Pennington, Clarence Pennington and Elmer Pennington.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Nellie Pennington, her husband: Lester Rowland, her son: Wade Rowland and her grandson: Jace Rowland.

Funeral Services for Wilma Rowland will be conducted on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carl Allen will be presiding. Burial will follow in the B. F. White Cemetery in Manchester.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 12 PM at Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
