Lovenia Britton was born on October 25, 1954, in Hyden, Kentucky and departed this life on April 19, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky she was 70 years old. She is the daughter of the late Lloyd and Loraine Wagers) Bowling.
Lovenia is survived by her children, Alfred “Jim” Britton, Beverly “Renea” Bowling Boggs and her husband Brian of London, Heather Ann (Britton) Collins and her husband Adam of Annville, Holly Lynn (Britton) Johnson and her husband Danny of London and Brent Coy Britton and wife Falon of Somerset. She was blessed with the following grandchildren, Mercedes, Tan, Hadrian, Joe, Josh, Madison, Landyn, Cameron, Kelsie, Kaydence, Bryson McCoy, Trinity, Taylor, Aydan, Ashdyn, Cristy, Jeffrey, Andrea, Josh and Anthony. As well as her great grandchildren, Walt, Heath-man, Hadi, Hollyn, Darcy, Haylnn, Kade (Baby Bubba) Lexie, Melody, Avery Jean, Shiloh and Chole. She is also survived by her significant other of 20 years, Blaine Smith of Manchester. And her brother Darryl Bowling and his wife Barb of Manchester. Her special friends, Janine Bowles, Charlene Pence, Carol Brown and Ruby Pearl Parker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie, her sisters, Jewel Hurt, Carol Dean Bowling and Evelyn Roark and her brothers, Harold Bowling and Dale Bowling.

She was a devoted wife of Buddy “Fred” Britton and together they built a life rooted in love. As a mother of six she gave her heart to her children completely. She was the gentle force that kept the family together, nurturing generations to come.
Her legacy will live through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, a living garden of her love and guidance.
To her friends, the strong women she stood beside, she was a sister in spirit, a confidante, a source of laughter and wisdom.
To her oldest brother, Darryl Bowling not just her brother her best friend, a lifelong companion and lifelong friend (who threw her into the swimming hole to “sink or swim”).
Lovenia was a member of Muddy Gap Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and Jackson County 4-H.
Lovenia was a woman whose life bloomed with purpose and love, just like the flowers she skillfully arranged. As a florist she didn’t just create beauty with her hands she brought it into the lives of everyone she touched. Her presence was a gift, steady warm and deeply cherished. She lived her life with faith, grace and quiet strength. She fought the good fight, not with noise but with kindness, endurance and unwavering love. She finished her race surrounded by the lives she helped shape, the love she so meticulously cultivated and the faith she held onto until the very end.
Funeral services for Lovenia will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Brian Gabbard presiding. Burial will follow in the Lloyd Bowling Cemetery in Clay Co. A visitation will begin at 6 P.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel.
