One dead in hit-and-run accident

One person has died following a hit-and-run incident in Laurel County on Thursday morning.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in identifying the vehicle involved in the fatal traffic accident, which occurred approximately 2 miles south of London on U.S. 25 at around 4:22 A.M. on April 3rd. A moped was reportedly struck from behind while traveling southbound, resulting in critical injuries to the driver, who later succumbed to those injuries at a local hospital.
The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is believed to be a Chevrolet Suburban. It is likely that the front grille emblem and headlight were damaged during the incident.
