We need to embrace the regional approach
Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this beautiful fall foliage we are blessed to witness each year.
Since my time in tourism, I’m proud to have created excellent relationships with other countries. In some form or fashion, most Eastern KY counties hire me to either work with music or tourism-related things.
The hard fact is that we can do so much more and accomplish so much more working together regionally than by ourselves.
In the past, we have been selfish and can’t stand when we don’t get something, but another county does. We should embrace the fact that another county has that opportunity.
People love to compare us to London all the time. It’s not a fair comparison. London is more extensive and has more financial resources.
We need to find our niche and give people a reason to get off I75 and come here from London. And sometimes we do.
We are also a day trip destination and should encourage London visitors to stop here. Having that relationship with their administration does nothing but help.
We always hear the old saying… work together. Well, there is no better time to work with our neighbors now. Much Love Manchester!
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
