WARNING! If you don’t want to have fun over the next several days stop reading this article right now!
Okay, now that you’ve decided to have fun let’s talk about all the fantastic activities coming up in Manchester and Clay County!
The fun gets started on Friday as the Big Creek Fire Department hosts their annual Haunted Forest.  It’s located off U.S. 421 at the horse ring.  The fun begins at dusk with a walk through trail so wear appropriate shoes and clothing!
Also on Friday the Acres of Grace Farm hosts Ghosts and Goodies from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with tickets for $30 each.  This will feature homemade treats and ghost stories around the camp fire!
If that’s not enough, Spookfest at the Creek will get underway at the Bert T. Combs Governor’s Campground.  This is a two-day event beginning Friday from 5-7 p.m. with special guest appearances from Big Foot and Michael Myers.  At 5:30 a spooky bike/golf cart parade will be held.  Saturday events feature various contests with trick-or-treating getting underway from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  A hayride for $3 each sponsored by ROTC will be from 8-10 p.m.
On Saturday, October 26th, Backstreet Boo Bash will be held at the Backstreet Outdoor Adventures LLC Campground at Oneida.  The fun starts at 6 p.m. with candy hunting followed by contests at 7:30 p.m. and an outdoor movie at 8!
Oh, if that’s not enough Halloween fun for you, come out Sunday to the Clay County Cruisers Halloween Bash in downtown Manchester from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a free fun time featuring music, games and most importantly, plenty of kid-friendly fun!
Need some more spooky entertainment?  On Tuesday, the Clay County Tiger Troupe will present “The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow” beginning at 7 p.m. with encore performances on October 31 at 8 p.m. and November 1 & 2 at 7 p.m.  Admission is $5 each night.
Still needing more fun?  On Thursday, October 31st Trick or Treat on the Street will be held in front of the Clay County Public Library from 5-7 p.m. and is also a free-event.  This will also be the trick-or-treat hours for Clay County.
