Hello folks! I hope everyone is doing well. Last weekend, Manchester Distillery had its soft opening, and the event was unbelievable, with good food, drinks, and music.
The most important part of the evening was the fellowship. The room was full of politicians, community servants, and anyone involved in county or city affairs. This was definitely unusual, because often when you get these people together, they don’t mingle well.
However, the setting created by our newest business really gave everyone no choice but to communicate and talk to each other. One of our biggest weaknesses in this county has always been communication.
We often hear that someone said this or that, but we really don’t know if it’s true or even who that person is. We never call our neighbor; we just assume things, which creates tension. We get angry if everyone doesn’t agree or if someone can’t be told what to do. But that’s real life—people are grown and stubborn, and no adult wants to be bossed around by another adult.
The point I’m making is that night, in the middle of our town, there was a lot of love. Maybe I’m wrong, but I felt it. People tried to communicate, kept an open mind, and got lost in conversation. I wish we could all do more of that. T
hanks, Manchester Distilling, and much love, Manchester!
