Lady Tigers set for district rival North Laurel

MANCHESTER, Ky. – The Lady Tigers will have two games during this week of coverage at the Manchester Enterprise, highlighted by their rivalry game against in-district, North Laurel, followed by a late matchup with Middlesboro on the road. That is, if the weather allows since a huge snowstorm is being forecast.

North Laurel – The Lady Jaguars (12-5) will come to Manchester with bad intentions as they always do. Clay County has not defeated North Laurel since January 5^th, 2018, when they won 59-51 in a regular season matchup. Clay County must slow down Mariella Claybrook (17.6ppg) if they hope to have a chance at the Jags. Tip is set for 6:00PM, Friday night, January 23^rd.

Middlesboro – The Lady Yellow Jackets (10-5) will host the Lady Tigers on Tuesday night in a boy/girl doubleheader. Led by Emily Lambert’s 15.9ppg, Middlesboro is a sneaky good team in a talented 13^th region. Millie Roberts (13.8ppg) is another solid scorer that gives Middlesboro two strong options. The Clay County defense will have to swarm if they want to come home with a win. Tip is set for 7:30PM, January 27^th at Middlesboro High School.
