Lady Tigers Advance to 49th District Championship, Face North Laurel Tuesday

MANCHESTER — The Clay County Lady Tigers are headed to the 49th District Volleyball Championship after sweeping Oneida Baptist Institute 3-0 on Monday night at Bobby Keith Gymnasium. 

Under head coach Kendall Culver, the Lady Tigers continue to find success and punched their ticket to Tuesday night’s championship game against 49th District rival North Laurel, scheduled for 6:00 on Tuesday night. 

Due to The Manchester Enterprise’s Tuesday print deadline, results from the championship matchup against North Laurel will not be available in this week’s printed edition. Full results will be available online and in next week’s issue of The Manchester Enterprise.

As for the matchup, the Lady Tigers defeated North Laurel in a thrilling five-set match earlier this season, marking their first victory over the Lady Jaguars in 12 years, setting the stage for what will no doubt be one of the most exciting matchups in program history.
