MANCHESTER, Ky. – It’s time for some Clay County Lady Tiger basketball! Coach Gemma Gray and the girls will be on the road early on this season, as they tip-off their 2025/26 campaign with the entire month of December filled with road games. Clay County will open on Friday, December 5th against Bell County in the PRTC Classic. Below is a preview of the upcoming schedule for the Lady Tigers.
Lady Tigers vs Bell County (PRTC Classic)
When? Friday, December 5th (7:00PM)
Where? @ Jackson County High School
Tale of the tape: The Lady Tigers will open the season against a very strong Bell County Lady Bobcat team. Led by 6’3 center Kairi Lamb, Bell County also features forward Gracie Barton and guards Lyla Scearse and Neveah Allen. All are a threat to score, especially Lamb. This will be a tough early test for the Lady Tigers, and a strong sign if they pass it.
Lady Tigers vs Casey County (Legacy Nissan Classic)
When? Saturday, December 6th (1:30PM)
Where? @ North Laurel High School
Tale of the tape: The Lady Tigers will clash with the Lady Rebels in an afternoon Saturday matchup. Casey County finished last season 9-19 and return senior guard Elizabeth Forbes (17.1ppg). Slowing down Forbes will be crucial in this contest. This will be a great chance for the Lady Tigers to get in the win column after what’s sure to have been a physical game the night before.
