Decomposed Body Discovered in Burning Springs Area

CLAY COUNTY — Sheriff Patrick Robinson reported that a decomposed body was discovered Monday afternoon in the Brushy Branch area of Burning Springs.

The body was found by men who were weed eating near a vacant house when they noticed what they believed to be human remains inside the structure. Kentucky State Police were contacted and responded to the scene, where they confirmed the discovery of a body.

The remains have been sent for an autopsy to determine the identity of the individual. The Kentucky State Police are leading the investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
