Davidson fires 133 to capture Big Hickory Invitational championship

MANCHESTER — Harley Davidson turned in the lowest two-day score of the tournament to capture the Championship Flight of the Big Hickory Golf Club Invitational.

Davidson finished with a two-day total of 133, five shots better than runner-up Jason Vance, who carded a 138. Justin Begley finished third at 141, while CJ Corum was fourth at 143.

The Championship Flight featured several tightly grouped finishes behind the leaders. Randy Osborne, Todd McDaniel and Eli Fischer each finished at 144, followed by Charlie Lucas at 146, Reece Nolan at 148 and Talan Marcum at 150.

The First Flight was even tighter at the top, with Tad Barton taking the flight with a two-day total of 143. Brody Hodges and Deron Sizemore each finished one shot back at 144.

Nick Fitzgerald followed at 150, while Jack Finley, Adam Marcum, Mike Campbell and Cody Likins each finished with totals of 151.

Brian Fiechter posted the lowest score in the Second Flight, finishing with a 153. Egg Roberts was second at 158, while Tracy Sizemore and Maxton Gray each finished at 159. Stump Marcum rounded out the top five with a 160.

The Third Flight featured a three-way tie immediately behind the winner.

Will Jones captured the flight with a 164, while Jeremy Sizemore, Ryan Reynolds and Trevor Sizemore all finished just one stroke back with two-day totals of 165. JJ Jones followed closely behind with a 166, and Tate Farmer shot 167.

Anthony Thompson took top honors in the Fourth Flight, finishing the tournament with a two-day score of 173.

Cam Flynn was one shot back with a 174, while Kellen Bundy finished third at 176. Shawn Barton and Bryce Smith each posted 178, followed by Caleb Gibson at 179.

Joe Hampton, Lance Osborne and Nick Jones each finished with two-day totals of 180.

The tournament brought together golfers across five flights at Big Hickory Golf Club, with competition ranging from the Championship Flight through the Fourth Flight.

Davidson's 133 stood as the best overall two-day total among the field and gave him the Championship Flight crown, while Barton, Fiechter, Jones and Thompson earned victories in their respective flights.

With several flights decided by only a stroke or two and numerous ties throughout the standings, the Big Hickory Invitational provided competitive golf from the top of the Championship Flight through the final group.
