Bennie Collins, age 56, of Manchester, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
He leaves behind his wife, Gloria Gilbert Collins; his mother, Deeanna Gibson Collins; four children, Anna Davidson & husband Jacob of Manchester, KY, Eugene Collins of London, KY, Mark Turner of London, KY, Joshua Turner of London, KY; four grandchildren, Darius Turner, Patience Turner, Kayleigh Collins, Hunter Davidson; five siblings, Betty Catherine of Jackson, KY, Tonya Chambley of Manchester, KY, Bonita Henson & husband Junior of Barbourville, KY, Nancy Collins & fiancé Kenneth Mickel of Manchester, KY, Billy Williams & wife Tina of Annville, KY; plus a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Corbin Collins; and by his daughter, Bambi Gilbert.
Bennie proudly served his country in the United States Army and later dedicated his life to helping others as a first responder with the Ambulance Service in both London and Clay County. His commitment to his fellow man, whether in uniform or on the front lines of emergency care, was a true reflection of his generous and courageous spirit.
Known for his fun-loving nature, Bennie was the life of every gathering. His quick wit, warm smile, and easygoing charm had a way of brightening any room. Whether he was telling stories, cracking jokes, or simply lending an ear, Bennie's presence was a gift to all who knew him.
He had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy and peace in nature's beauty. But more than anything, Bennie cherished his family. His devotion and unconditional love will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to call him theirs.
Bennie's legacy of service, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
A funeral service honoring Bennie Collins will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Potter's House Holiness Church in Manchester, Kentucky with George Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Collins Cemetery in Manchester, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 beginning at 2:00 p.m. also at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
