PERRYSBURG, OH – A teacher at Hull Prairie Intermediate School has been placed on administrative leave following allegations that they went to a student’s home unannounced to retrieve a missing homework assignment.
According to Perrysburg Schools officials, the incident was reported by the student’s family earlier this week. The family stated that the teacher arrived at their home after school hours without prior notice.
One of the student’s parents reportedly confronted the teacher upon arriving home that evening and later reported the interaction to school administrators.
Following the report, the teacher was placed on administrative leave before the start of the next school day.
Perrysburg Schools Superintendent Thomas Hosler expressed gratitude to the family for coming forward and encouraged students and parents to report any concerns regarding staff conduct.
“The well-being of our students remains our highest priority, and we are fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities,” the school district said in a statement. “Perrysburg Schools is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students.”
Due to the ongoing investigation, administrators have not disclosed further details regarding the incident.
