Cleda Faye Turner

Cleda Faye Turner, 76, of Morris Fork, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Breathitt Health and Rehab Care Center in Jackson, Kentucky.
She was born on September 19, 1948 in Oneida, Kentucky to the late M.C. and Lula Mae Riley Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Turner, and her brothers, Danny Caudill (Gail) and Freddie Caudill.
Cleda dedicated her career to working with students with special needs in the Fayette County School System before retiring. She also established an outreach backpack program for children in Owsley County, demonstrating her deep commitment to helping others. A woman of faith, she was a member of the Morris Fork Presbyterian Church and also attended Sugar Camp Baptist Church in Booneville. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and attending church but found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lonnie A. Turner; her son, Wendall Alan Turner (Patricia); her grandson, Zachary Alan Turner; and her great-great-grandson, Zavier Woods Turner. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 21 at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM officiated by Mike Riley. Burial will take place at Jackson Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
