Cecil Marcum

Cecil Marcum, 70, died Monday, January 13, 2025 at his residence. Born July 22, 1953 in Manchester, KY, he was the son of the late Asher and Daisy Allen Marcum. He was a retired farmer having worked for Donnie Tyler, he loved listening to the radio (especially classic country), raising chickens and other animals, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include one son L.C. Propes and one daughter Melissa Ann Propes both of Casey County; two sisters: Judy Giles of Georgetown and Theresa Sparks of Harrodsburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a special great granddaughter Booboo Ramirez of Harrodsburg, his girlfriend Shara Brown of Harrodsburg, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by one daughter Libby Medley, one brother Russell Lee Marcum, and one sister Lorraine Baker.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and Cremation Services with John Kesel officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Church of Christ Cemetery with Nathan Butler, Cecil Buchanan, Eggy Dunn, Mike Gullett, Jared Gullett, and Trevor Penman serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
