Shannon Gail Edwards Long was born June 22, 1958 in Manchester, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Clifton Edwards and De Etta Becknell Edwards. She was united in marriage to Johnny Long who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Eric Long and wife Jezami of London, Kentucky and Erica Long of Lexington, Kentucky; three siblings, Kathy King of Tyner, Kentucky, Wanda Edwards of Lexington, and Donnie Edwards and wife Peggy of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Owen Cruz Long, Oaklee Cate Long, and Ostynn Case Long; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was a hairdresser and of the Baptist Faith.
Shannon Gail Edwards Long departed this life Wednesday, September 18, 2024 being 66 years, 2 months, and 27 days of age.
The funeral service for Shannon Gail Edwards Long will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Rodney Goodlett officiating. Burial will follow in Kash-Brandenburg Cemetery in Booneville, Kentucky.
