Rosetta Smith, age 72 of Mill Creek, passed away on April 24, 2026, at Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center.
Rosetta was born on June 1, 1953, in Manchester, Kentucky, to the union of Arthur and Beatrice Smith.
Rosetta was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, fishing, and yard sales, where she loved meeting people and making many friends. But most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Rosetta is survived by her children: Jody Lee Smith and wife, Jeannie, of Goose Rock; Susan Jones of Lexington; and J.B. Smith Jr. of Mill Creek. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Brian Lee Smith, Kyle Messer, Tiffany Williams, Scott Cody Smith, Megan Smith, Christopher Smith, Holly Jones, Whitney Smith, Hunter Jackson, Mason Smith, Taylor Rose Smith, and Paizlee Jo Smith; as well as eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four stepchildren,
step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren .
She is also survived by her brothers: Junior Wayne Smith and wife, Pat, of London; Thurman Smith of Manchester; and Ernie Lee Smith and wife, Rebecca, of Lockard’s Creek.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Smith; one son, Randall Scott Smith; her parents, Arthur and Beatrice Smith; one grandchild, Darren Mclaine Smith; three brothers, Lee Roy Smith, Troy Smith, and Bill Smith.
Services for Rosetta will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 27th, at Britton Funeral Home with Herman Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery on Goose Rock.
