Nettie M. Rawlings, age 87, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on February 24, 2026. Born on May 22, 1938, in Manchester, she was the cherished daughter of the late Lewis and Laura Hacker Morris.
Nettie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gifford Rawlings, as well as her siblings: Johnny Morris, Raleigh Morris, Farris Morris, Bruce Morris, Fern Webb, and Norena Purcell.
She is survived by her loving nephews: Bo Morris of Manchester, Doug Morris of Manchester, James Morris of London, Brian Morris of Manchester, Carl Morris of Indiana, and Dennis Webb of Manchester. Her nieces include Sheila Estep of Manchester and Jeanetta Collier of London. Nettie also leaves behind a host of other nieces and nephews, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews whom she thought of as her own grandchildren.
Nettie will be warmly remembered by her special friends, Judy Walker of Corbin and Sherry House of Manchester, as well as many others whose lives she touched with her kindness and friendship.
A devoted member of the Liberty Baptist Church and the Clay County Senior Citizens Center, Nettie was known for her faith, involvement in her community, and her caring spirit.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, officiated by Doug Webb and Chris Roberts. Nettie will be laid to rest at Macedonia Cemetery.
