Mildred Hall Gilbert, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at AdventHealth Manchester. She was born on Friday, August 27, 1954 in Alabaster, Alabama to Ike and Priscilla (Johnson) Hall. She worked for the Department of Transportation and was a member of St. Paul AME Church.
She left to mourn her passing her son, Anthony “Pepper” Gilbert and wife Christi; grandchildren Christopher Napier, Natosha Hacker and husband Dylan, Anthony Nicholas Gilbert, Shelbie Parker, Peyton Parker, Jamie Smith and Ian Gilbert; and great-grandchildren Demarkus, Haraya, Aaliyah, Azaria, Emery, Roman, Annabeth and Precious. She was also survived by her sisters, Sue Hall and Alvenia Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Priscilla (Johnson) Hall; brothers Ashley Johnson and Franklin Johnson; and sisters Myra Hall and Lela Hall.
Funeral services for Mildred Hall Gilbert were conducted on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel with Anthony Lovett and Renee Holmes presiding. Burial followed in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends and loved ones on Saturday, May 16, 2026 after 11 a.m. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
