Larry Ward was born on April 15, 1954 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Lendon Ward and Charlene Estridge Ward. He was united in marriage to Vickie Bowling Ward of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by four children, Pamela Gray and husband Brandon of Sandgap, Kentucky; Kimberly Caudill and husband William, Jason Ward and wife Brandi all of London; Rachel LeBourhis of Nicholasville, Kentucky; five siblings, Etta Schaffler and husband Ed of McKee, Kentucky; Doris Ward, Rebecca Taylor and husband Mark, Wendell Ward and wife Dinah, Kenneth Ward and wife Tina all of Tyner, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Jacob, Aubree, Lundy, Cora, Talon, Adalynn, Cole, Autumn, Leah and Olive plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Everly and a brother Donald Ward.
Larry was a member of New Salem United Baptist Church where he gladly served as a Sunday School Director and church clerk up until his illness. He loved to play his guitar and sing praises to the Lord. Larry was a dedicated lineman for Kentucky Utilities for 32 years. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his loving wife, fishing with his family, woodworking and most recently knife making. Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Larry Ward departed this life peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, June 20, 2024 being 70 years, 2 months and 5 days of age.
The funeral service for Larry Ward will be conducted at 11 am Sunday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Brandon Gray and William Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
The family of Larry Ward will receive friends beginning at 5 pm Saturday at Bowling Funeral Home.
