With the 49th district tournament starting next week, the Lady Tiger volleyball team has a real chance of advancing and playing in the regional tournament they’ll be hosting beginning Saturday, October 25th.
The Lady Tigers went to Jackson County last week and picked up a three-set win (25-10, 26-24, 25-23).
The district is clearly up for grabs as North Laurel split the season series with Jackson County, Clay split with Jackson also but was swept by North Laurel. Jackson has the top seed with North and Clay playing to advance to the championship. Red Bird and Oneida Baptist Institute will open district play with the winner advancing against Jackson.
Tournament play begins Monday for Clay at 6:30 p.m. at Jackson County High School.
