Kentucky State Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Clay County

MANCHESTER, Ky (September 8, 2025) at approximately 2:21 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11 London, was notified of a serious vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on State Highway 1524 near the intersection of State Highway 2000.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Unit 1, a 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Terry D. McClure, 64, of East Bernstadt, Ky, was traveling westbound on Highway 1524 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Unit 2, a 2014 Ford F-150 traveling eastbound, operated by Rodney R. Jackson, 58, of Manchester, Ky.
Mr. McClure was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Clay County Coroner. Mr. Jackson was transported to Advent Health Manchester for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Toxicology results are pending, and no autopsy has been scheduled at this time. The next of kin has been notified.
This incident remains under active investigation by Detective Shane Bowling. He was assisted by KSP personnel, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County EMS, Manchester Fire Department, Lockard’s Creek Fire Department, and the Clay County Coroner’s Office.
