John Wayne Landrum, age 75, of
Manchester, Kentucky, passed away on June 12, 2026, at AdventHealth Manchester. He was born on April 7, 1951, in Leslie County, Kentucky, to the late Joseph B. Landrum and Lucy Washburn Young.
John was a retired section foreman in the coal mines and a proud veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as a Gunner's Mate, Third Class. He will be remembered for his hard work, his service to his country, and the love he had for his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Swafford Landrum; his children, Johnathan Keith Landrum and wife Sarah, Joseph Wayne Landrum and wife Jessica, Daniel Ryan Landrum, and Kristie Dawn Hoskins and husband Buster; his grandchildren, John David Landrum, Harper Landrum, Payton Landrum, Jordan Landrum, Ryan McCoy, Alexis Landrum, Chase Hoskins and wife Adrianna, Hannah Hoskins, Noah Hoskins, and Maddix Hoskins; and his great-grandchildren, Autumn Landrum and Everleigh Landrum.
He is also survived by his siblings, Anthony Young and wife Teresa, Michael Young and wife Kaye, Wanda Anderson, and Ruth Young; his mother-in-law, Geneva Swafford; his sister-in-law, Shawn Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Conley Young; his parents Lucy and Conley Young; his father-in-law, Jessie Swafford; and his brother-in-law, Larry Anderson.
Visitation for John Wayne Landrum will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home in
Manchester, Kentucky. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Travis Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest at Swafford Cemetery on Upper Rader in
Manchester, Kentucky.
