MANCHESTER, Ky. — A longtime local business entered a new chapter Monday morning as Jackson’s Manchester Lumber officially opened its doors at a new, expanded location at the junction of U.S. 421 and Ky. 80.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the occasion, drawing community members, local officials, and business leaders who gathered to celebrate the milestone. Owners Josh and Donna Jackson expressed gratitude for the continued support of the community that has sustained their family business for decades.
“This is more than just a new building — it’s a symbol of growth and faith in the future of Manchester and Clay County,” said Josh Jackson. “We’re proud to keep investing here at home, where our roots run deep.”
Donna Jackson added, “We couldn’t have done this without our loyal customers and employees. We’re excited to continue serving our neighbors with quality products and hometown service.”
Manchester Mayor Steve Collins praised the Jackson family for their dedication to local business and community development.
“Josh and Donna have built more than a business — they’ve built relationships and strengthened the local economy,” Collins said. “Seeing this new facility open is proof that Manchester continues to grow and thrive.”
Clay County Judge-Executive Tommy Harmon also commended the project, noting its impact on the county’s economy and workforce.
“It’s always exciting to see local families expanding and reinvesting in our community,” Harmon said. “Jackson’s Manchester Lumber has been a trusted name for years, and this new location is a sign of good things ahead for Clay County.”
The new site offers improved accessibility, expanded inventory, and upgraded facilities to better serve customers across the region. The Jacksons say they look forward to continuing their long-standing tradition of quality and service — now in a modern setting designed to meet the needs of the next generation.
