Franklin Delano Rowland, born on November 6, 1941, in Clay County, Kentucky, was the beloved son of the late Fred and Cleo Hoskins Rowland. A dedicated school teacher, Frank devoted his career to educating young minds in Leslie County and at Manchester Elementary. He was a cherished member of the Zion Baptist Church in Manchester, Kentucky.
Franklin is survived by a host of special nieces, nephews, and other family members, along with two dear friends, Alex Gibson of London, Kentucky, and Don Hubbard of Manchester, Kentucky. He was predeceased by his parents and ten siblings: Lester Rowland, Sue Brown, Mina Collins, Verda Mae Smith, J.C. Rowland, Sam B. Rowland, Ted Rowland, Beve Rowland, Junior Rowland, and Betty Pearl Cupp.
Franklin Delano Rowland departed this life on October 8, 2025, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 2 days. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Brown & Rowland Cemetery in Manchester, with Carl Allen officiating.
