The Fogertown Fire Department celebrated the holiday season with its annual Christmas dinner, an evening that combined fellowship, gratitude, and recognition for outstanding service within the department.
Fogertown Fire Chief Frank Hensley welcomed firefighters, family members, and guests, thanking them for their continued dedication to serving the community throughout the year. Hensley noted that the department’s strength comes not only from emergency response, but from the commitment and support shown by its members and their families.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the department’s annual awards. Connor Hughes was named Fireman of the Year, while Brooklyn Hughes received the honor of Firewoman of the Year. Both were recognized for their hard work, dependability, and willingness to go above and beyond in serving Fogertown residents.
Chief Hensley praised the recipients for setting an example for others in the department, citing their commitment to training, emergency response, and teamwork. “These awards represent countless hours of service that often go unseen,” Hensley said. “Connor and Brooklyn embody what it means to be a volunteer firefighter.”
