E C Gray, age 72, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Pineville Community Health Center in Pineville, KY. Born on May 13, 1953, in Manchester, KY, E C was a lifelong resident of the area and a beloved member of the community.
E C was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Wagers Gray, his parents, Ford and America Gray, and his brother Herman Gray. He is survived by his children: Jonathan Gray of Manchester, Linda (Randall) Smith of Manchester, and Betty (Johnny) Farmer of London. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Kaitlynn Suttles, Bradley Swafford, Khaleesi Farmer, Cody Smith, Austin Smith, and Brittney Smith; as well as great-grandchildren Grant Suttles and Lainey Swafford.
He is also survived by his siblings, Ford Gray, Jr. of Indiana and Robert Gray of Hyden, along with a half-brother and three half-sisters. E C's memory will live on through his loving family and the many lives he touched.
The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 12 PM. Joe Crockett will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Goose Rock Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to come together and celebrate E C's life and legacy.
