Donald Ray “Cush” Jones, age 68, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Born on September 7, 1957, in Manchester, Kentucky, Cush was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose life was marked by love, devotion, and service to others.
Above all, Cush loved his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rosetta Lipps Jones of Manchester; his daughters, Dana Jones of Manchester and Kelly Asher and husband Thomas of London; and his son, Braiden Jones of Manchester. He was a proud grandfather to Austin Jones, Ayden Jones, Colton Asher, Wesson Asher, and Tate Asher, each of whom brought great joy to his life.
He is also survived by his mother, Betty Brown Jones of London; his sisters, Charlotte Harris and husband Harold and Debra Gibson and husband David, both of London; his sister-in-law, Pauletta Lipps Collins and husband Charlie of Manchester; his brother-in-law, Michael Lipps and wife Sue of London; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Cush was preceded in death by his father, Willy Ray Jones, and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, T. J. and Doris Lipps.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, with Dean Lawson, Clay Bishop III, and Tess Lipps officiating. Burial will follow at Lipps Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home.
Cush’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His kindness, dedication, and love for his family will remain a lasting comfort and blessing.
