Debra Salmons, 63, of Oneida passed away Saturday, October 24th, 2026, at Saint Joseph Lexington Hospital.
She was born August 10th, 1963, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Denver and Beaulah Yaden Smith.
Debra loved gardening, working with flowers, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for the joy she found in the people and simple pleasures she cherished most.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Salmons of Oneida
By her son, Jeremy Salmons and his wife, Amanda, of Oneida; her grandchildren, Ryder Salmons, Gracie Salmons, Virginia Salmons, Quintin Houser, and Keyana Houser; her bonus granddaughter, Lindsey Parker; her sisters, Flossie Smith of Manchester and Loma Messer of Richmond; and her close friend, Ella Cornett of Indiana, who was like a sister to her. She also leaves behind a host of close friends and family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Myers.
Funeral services was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, Joey Burns officiated. Visitation was held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Salmons Family Cemetery in Oneida.
