David Gray of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on January 1, 1947, in Manchester, KY, the beloved son of the late Roy and Effie Mills Gray.
David is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Smallwood Gray of Manchester, KY. He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Arnold Gray and wife Geraldine, and Doris Mitchell and husband Carl. David also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who brought joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Earl and Jewell Gray, Veda and A.D. Smallwood, Anna Lee Dezarn, and Sheryl Dezarn.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation beginning at 6 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, with Verlin Gray officiating. David will be laid to rest at the Smallwood Family Cemetery on Sarvis Branch Rd.
