Clarence Mardell Johnson, of Manchester, Kentucky was born on December 15, 1953 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Clarence Edward Johnson and Josie Selena Caldwell. He is survived by two children, Sheila Morgan of London, Kentucky and Clarence Mardell Johnson Jr. of Brookhaven, Mississippi; a stepdaughter, Angel Westerfield of Manchester; four siblings, Lavonda Evans and husband Rick of Corbin, Randall Johnson, Darrell Johnson and Phillip Johnson all of London; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by four siblings, Palmer Johnson, Chassie Vaughn, Terry Johnson and Martha Lou Johnson.
Mardell was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and of the Pentecostal faith. He attended Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
Clarence Mardell Johnson departed this life on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the age of 72 years and 3 days.
The memorial service for Clarence Mardell Johnson was conducted at 4 pm Sunday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Cecil Benge officiating.
