Carl Smith, age 71, of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Greg and Irene Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was of the holiness faith.
Carl was born in Redbird, Kentucky on February 19, 1955, to the late Vernon and Mae Smith.
Along with his parents, Vernon and Mae, Carl was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Smith, one daughter, Brenda Sue Smith, four brothers, Charlie Smith, Herbert “Whitey” Henson, Garry Smith, and Bill Henson, one sister, Maudie Henson, and a special mother Deavide Smith.
Carl leaves behind four children, Carl Adam Smit and Sondra Mitton, and Bryan Adam Smith, Pearlie Mae Baker and Chad, Priscilla Riddell and Bryan Adam Smith, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four brothers, Vernon Smith and Peggy, Moe Smith and Loretta, Marshall Smith and Larry Smith, two sisters, Irene Gray and Debra Swafford, along with other family and friends to miss him and to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Carl Smith were held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 P.M at Granny’s Branch Holiness Church. Brother Paul Mitchell and Brother Gary Dugger officiating. The family asks that donations be made in Carl’s memory to The Barbourville Funeral Home.
