Billy Ray Jones, age 77, also known as “Ski Daddy” was born on December 28, 1948. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and loved ones on June 25, 2026.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Shelby “Stuff” Jones and mother, Dorothy Chandler Jones; his brother, Cecil Jones and sister, Ruth A. Bundy.
Billy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mattie A. Jones of Manchester, KY; his daughter, Jacqueline Harris (Ernest); his son, Billy Dean Jones, all of Manchester, KY. Billy also leaves three grandchildren, Sarah B. Jones, Shelby (Jackie) Harris, and Deana Jones, all of Manchester, KY; three great grandchildren, Aubree Harris of Somerset, KY, Jayden & Jettison Harris of London, KY.
Billy was a devoted Christian. Billy loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Billy was well known for his carpentry skills, and as a truck driver. Billy spent his life loving his family.
The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
