Alonzo Jackson, aged 60, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Manchester, KY. He was born on July 18, 1965, in Redbird, KY, the son of the late Perry Jackson and Sallie Mae (Smith) Jackson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Oscar Jackson, J.B. Jackson, Lyndon Jackson, and Arlie Jackson; sisters Roberta Stewart, Della Mae Reiner; and baby sister Jerimia Jackson.
He is survived by his former wife, Melodie Wombles, three children: Matthew Jackson and wife Kayla, Alicia Jackson and husband Mark, and Brittany Bruce and husband Andrew, all of Manchester, KY; seven grandchildren: Jace Paquette, Landen Paquette, Rilee Jackson, Briella White, Makai “Blue” Jackson, Harlee Bruce, and Kaitlyn Bruce; six siblings: David Jackson and wife Carol, Brenda Owens and husband Ron, Lester Jackson and wife Kim, Arnold Jackson and wife Barb, and Justice Jackson all of Manchester, KY and Mary Cooper of Jacksonville, Florida.
Services for Alonzo Jackson will be conducted on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Hampton Celebration of Life Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Herman Asher officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery in Manchester, KY. The family of Alonzo Jackson will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Serving as pallbearers will be: Matthew Jackson, Mark Jackson, plus family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
