The Clay Grand Jury returned 10 indictments ranging from assault, theft and drug charges.
-Dwayne Burkhart, 45, of Mount Zion Road, London, was indicted for trafficking in a controlled substance 1st(methamphetamine). The case was presented by Kentucky State Police Trooper Derek Dennis.
-Willis Napier, 43, of 14636 N. Hwy. 421, Manchester, was indicted for bail jumping after failing to appear in Clay Circuit Court on December 1, 2025.
-Brittany Jackson, 34, of 6470 N. Hwy. 421, Manchester, was indicted for bail jumping after failing to appear in Clay Circuit Court on December 2, 2025.
-Jessica Perkins, 34, of 179 Radio Hill Road, Manchester, was indited for forgery 1st when she falsely completed a student loan application with Elmer Perkins in the amount of $5,054.47. She was also indicted for being a persistent felony offender.
-Joshua Mills, 34, of 125 Lyttleton Road, Manchester; Ollie Mills, 53, of 125 Lyttleton Road, Manchester; and Tony Downey, 40, of 401 South Dixie Street, London, have been indicted on multiple charges involving theft at the B&J Transfer Station on December 11, 2025. The charges include theft by unlawful taking; theft by unlawful taking (AUTO); and persistent felony offender for Joshua Mills and Tony Downey. The case was presented by Chief Deputy Clifton Jones of the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
-Steven Harrison, 54, of 427 Squires Road, Lexington, was indicted for theft by unlawful taking auto when he took. 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer belonging to Sherry Bowling. Harrison allegedly drove the vehicle to Garrard County and left it abandon in a roadway where he was picked up by local authorities. The case was presented by Chief Deputy Clifton Jones with the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
-Jonathan Brumley, 52, of 1066 Baldwin Branch, Annville, was indicted on multiple counts on robbery 1st when he placed a handgun to the back of John Stapleton’s head with intent to accomplish theft with an armed deadly weapon. He was also indicted for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; assault 2nd when he struck Stapleton in the head with a revolver; theft by unlawful taking when he took control of a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 truck belonging to Stapleton; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and persistent felony offender. The case was presented by Kentucky State Police Trooper Derek Dennis.
-Jason Henson, 51, of 364 Dixon Branch Road, Manchester, was indicted trafficking in controlled substance 1st(methamphetamine); and possession of marijuana. The case was presented by Kentucky State Police Trooper Derek Dennis.
