Jewell Dean “Tootsie” Woods

Jewell Dean “Tootsie” Woods of Fogertown was born on Thursday, July 12, 1934 in Manchester to Walter E. and Ethel Smith Woods. She passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at her home.

She leaves surviving her niece Cathy Woods of London, her sister: Joyce Ann Cupp of Fogertown and her special friend whom she loves as her daughter: Cecilia Kathy Smith and her husband Donnie of Greenbriar.

Jewell is preceded in death by her father: Det. Sgt. Walter E. Woods who retired from the Kentucky State Police and the Commonwealth of Kentucky FBI Academy, her mother: Ethel Woods, taught school and was a homemaker and her brother: Jack Evan Woods who passed away in 2013.

Funeral Services for Jewell Dean “Tootsie” Woods will be conducted on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 2024 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Woods Cemetery in the Goose Rock Community on Jewell’s mother and father’s home place on the farm.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
