Maureen Minton Ramey
Maureen Minton Ramey, 55, of Quaker City, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at her home.
Maureen was born on January 2, 1969, in Hammond, Indiana, a daughter of Ruby (Hopkins) Minton, and the late Elmer Minton.
Maureen enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, collecting shells, loved reality TV, crafting, painting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She tended the bar at Creekside and Bud’s Pub.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Aaron Raine Smith, her ex-husband, Jerry Ramey, and her lifelong best friend, Robbie Robinson.
Maureen is survived by her mother, Ruby Minton, her son, Tyler (Kilie) Ramey of Zanesville, her daughter, Brooke Smith of Cambridge, her brothers, Steve (Susie) Davis of Kentucky, and Elmer Minton of Kentucky, her sisters, Shirley Callihan of Cambridge, and Tabitha (Jason) Couch of Kentucky. Also left to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren, Caden Ramey and Carter Ramey, and Knox Smith, her aunt Janet Martin with whom she was very close with, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She will be deeply missed by her work family and customers at Bud’s Pub.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge from 1-3PM with the service to immediately follow with Pastor Steve Davis officiating.
