New feature coming in next week's issue!
You've asked for it, and we will give it to you! Numerous requests have been made for us to feature recipes each week on the pages of The Manchester Enterprise.
We asked ourselves whether to use national recipes or try to find some local ones.
The Clay County Historical Society has come to our rescue!
Publisher Mark Hoskins met with Historical Society President Mike White and Secretary LaBerta White. The society has gladly agreed to share recipes from 'Tasteful Treats' published by the Woman's Club of Manchester and featuring resident recipes.
"We are thrilled the historical society has agreed to partner with us on featuring recipes from this book," Hoskins said.
This is a reprint of the club's first and most popular cookbook, initially published in 1976, featuring over 600 recipes!
You can purchase the book from the society for $20 (plus shipping and handling) on their website at clayfamilies.org or stop by Thursday or Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
