Cell service down nationwide

Customers of cellular services, including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, have reported to Downdetector and social media that their phone service is down.

Downdetector says the problem peaked around 4:30 a.m. with nearly 33,000 AT&T reports across the country. Most reported having issues with cell phones.

In Kentucky, the Powell County Government Public Information Page on Facebook posted that the Stanton area was impacted by the outage. They say this caused problems for people trying to dial 911.

The companies themselves have not put out any official confirmation of the troubles.
