Tex Clay Taylor
Tex Clay Taylor was born on March 17, 1950 in Oneida (Clay County), Kentucky. He is the son of the late Burton Taylor and Sally Mae Pittman Taylor. He was united in marriage to Julie Potter Taylor who survives of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by his children, Nikki House and husband Charlie of London; Jennifer Pennington (Jeff Dierken) of Barbourville, Kentucky; Kim Williams and husband Brian of Manchester, Kentucky; Brenda Howell and husband Tim; Randy Potter and wife Diane; siblings, Florence Patterson and husband William; Carol Goforth and husband Arvil; Rex Taylor and wife Chyrl; Harrison Taylor and wife Patty all of London; grandchildren, Dustin, Drew, Tyler, Trevor, Sara, Taylor, Kelsey, Malorie, Ryan and Logan; thirteen great-grandchildren plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, Ronnie Taylor and Edward Taylor.
Tex was a machinist and worked on HVAC units at Leo Jones for 48 years. Tex was a die hard UK fan and never missed a Kentucky basketball game. He was of the Christian faith.
Tex Clay Taylor departed this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 being 73 years, 9 months and 30 days of age. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
The funeral service for Tex Taylor will be conducted at 1 pm Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Trevor Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Whitt Cemetery in London.
The family of Tex Taylor will receive friends beginning at 11 am Monday until the funeral hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Dustin Miniard, Tyler Pennington, Trevor Pennington, Ryan Howell, Logan Howell and Randy Potter.
