Larry Wayne Bowling

Larry Wayne Bowling was born March 13, 1955, in Clay County and departed this life Thursday, December 14, 2023, at his residence in Annville, at the age of 68. He was the son of the late Luther & Maddie (Smith) Bowling.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lori (Barrett) Bowling of Annville; by two children, Mike (Sara) Bowling of Annville and Lynn (Jason) Gabbard of Annville and by a brother, Ed (Mona) Bowling of Hamilton, Ohio. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Peyton Bowling and Macy Bowling.

In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by the following siblings, Oscar Bowling, Luther Bowling Jr., Ronnie Bowling, Ezella Jones, Gladys Bowling, Ebie Bowling, Edith Bowling and Lois Scott.

Larry was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and had been a Fire Chief at the Annville Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Thomas and Bro. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Annville Cemetery. Pallbearers: Marvin Bowles, Henry Smith, Charley Ward, Roy David Scott, Tim Tankersley and Jesse Jones. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
