Lady Tigers travel to Williamsburg

(MANCHESTER, Ky.) – The air has cooled, and Lady Tiger Basketball is upon us! Coach Gemma Parks and her Lady Tigers are ready to go head-to-head with the Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets to begin their 2023-2024 season. Coach Parks has a group that’s filled to the brim with youth, and only boasts one senior in guard Sydney Jones, a sharpshooter who will be tasked with leading the team each night.

The Lady Tigers also return Faith Helton, Daisy Samples, and Madison Pendland from last year’s team, and the three know that much more will be asked of them this season as to the year prior. Coach Parks and this group have worked hard, and now must meet a tough Williamsburg squad who will strive to ruin the season opener for Clay County.

Williamsburg returns Alexis Wilson, who averaged 16.9ppg last season for the Lady Jackets. Clay County must find a way to slow her down in this contest. The Lady Jackets are young just like the Lady Tigers, and will be looking to build, or find an identity in this contest.

Tip-off is slated for 7:30PM, Tuesday, November 28th at Williamsburg High School.
