Hubert Carnes
Hubert Carnes was born October 1, 1940 in Knox County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Parker Carnes and Laura Taylor. He was united in marriage to Myrtle Ledford Carnes who survives of East Bernstadt, Kentucky. He is also survived by his two children, Pat Hurley and husband Doug and Brian Carnes and wife Lana all of East Bernstadt; three siblings, Pearlie Hill and J.M. Carnes and wife Alice all of Barbourville, Kentucky, and Otto Carnes of Manchester, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Peyton Roark (Justin Cash), Parker Carnes, and Skyler Carnes (Annie); several nieces and nephews; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by four siblings, Mae Payne, Lena Peters, Jimmy Carnes, and Martin Carnes.
He was a fork lift operator at Phoenix Manufacturing and was of the Christian Faith.
Hubert Carnes departed this life Friday, November 10, 2023 being 83 years, 1 month and 9 days of age.
The funeral service for Hubert Carnes will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky.
The family of Hubert Carnes will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home Tuesday beginning at 12 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers: Brian Carnes, Skyler Carnes, Parker Carnes, Doug Hurley, Justin Cash and Jerry Carnes.
Honorary Pallbearers: David Carnes, Phillip Carnes, Ronnie Carnes, Gary Messer, Mike Fee, and Paul Whitworth.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
