Crockett wins coroner

In his first entry into the political arena, Republican Joe Crockett had won the Clay coroner race over Democrat challenger Dustin Swafford.

Crockett got 2,847 votes to Swafford’s 1,131.

Daniel Cameron got 2,603 votes in the Governor’s race to Beshear’s 1,441. The vote total for Beshear increased compared to four years ago.

4,093 ballots were cast in Clay with a 28% turnout out of 14,203 registered voters.
